Human Wildlife Co-Existence

Human-Wildlife Co-existence

For over millions of years’ people have been co-existing with nature and utilize its resources to sustain their life. With human population growth, people have encroached in wildlife reach areas for settlement, agriculture, grazing and mining hence creating competition with wildlife over limited resources. Such competitions has resulted into human-wildlife conflicts in the form of crop raiding, livestock depredation, property damages, human injuries and death and disease transmission.

The HWC foundation aims to enhance a safe and healthy coexistence between the two conflicting parts that shares the environment by facilitate co-existence. We do this by supporting and working with protected and conservation areas agencies, communities and other stakeholders to find the possible solution that benefits the wildlife and well-being of people through raising public awareness, capacity building and conducting research.
