Engaging local communities is an outstanding strategy for conservation and management of natural resources particularly wildlife. Understanding the knowledge of local communities and utilizing it for conservation not only improve conservation initiatives but also enforces their active participation, raises the feeling of nature and awakens the feeling of responsibility.
Human Wildlife Conflicts can also be addressed by empowering local community through aiding their inclusion in developing conservation plans, training and participation in decision making. The HWC foundation aims at improving community’s capacity to mitigate human-wildlife conflicts. We focus to involve all groups of the communities from school children, university students, villages government leaders, conservation agencies and other stakeholders by building their capacities to mitigate conservation challenges in particular human-wildlife conflicts.
